Today’s Daily Prompt is Swallow.
These juvenile Barn Swallows were photographed in the mid 1980s. If I recall correctly it was my first published bird photo being included in a portfolio of my work that appeared in a photo magazine around the same time.

They sure are adorable. Nice shoot.
Thanks.
Great capture! We have swallows that build mud nests under the nearby bridge and they help a lot with the mosquito population! 🙂
Those Barn Swallows were photographed in my grandfather’s workshop. The nest was built on a shelf on top of some tins containing bits and pieces.
I knew someone had to have a photo of these little creatures. Now if another person will only write a poem to fit. My first thought was the beauty of their wings in flight.
Thanks, I have photos of other Swallow species but non in flight.
I was inspired to search images on duckduckgo, and literally hundreds of pictures popped up. There were two of fledglings trying to make their way in the world–such cut babies with ATTITUDES. Yes, even the little ones can be tough.
I’ve recently started posting photos documenting the complete nesting cycle of a pair of Eurasian Blue Tit.
