Ours are usually black down here in Toronto. Thank you. It’s an American Red Squirrel. A lot of the Eastern Grey Squirrels around here are also black. What a sweetie! Lovely photo! Thank you. I’m a sucker for squirrels. New Zealand doesn’t have any. We get two species in this part of Ontario plus Chipmunks. No chipmunks either and, thankfully, no snakes. But we have lots of things that other countries don’t have, mostly in the bird department, so I’m not complaining. Great shallow focus on this shot, by the way. Thank you.
