Week 51: Colpoy’s Bay at sunset

Wednesday afternoon of week 51 saw me using the Wi-Fi in the local public library after we lost our internet connection the previous week. I left the library in time to get down to the dock at Colpoy’s Bay for the sunset and set up the tripod on the shoreline to the south of the dock.

This shot is something a little different from me as it’s a blend of three different exposures of the scene. It was quite windy so I thought I would experiment with taking three different exposures and blend them. I was wondering how the choppy water would look after blending. I don’t normally like exposure blends but quite like the effect of the water in this.

When I got home our internet connection was back.

It was nice that our internet being down coincided with a bit of a thaw and a break from what seemed like constant snow.
