Boulder with lines of Quartz.

Monochrome Monday is going back to last autumn and a visit to the Lake Huron shoreline in Southampton, Ontario.

I was photographing the boulders that surround Dominion Lookout at the bottom of High Street. I isolated this boulder because of the multiple white quartz lines running through it as I thought I would make an interesting monochrome conversion.

    1. Thanks. I live in an area with a lot of quarries producing everything from coursing for masons through to polished marble for tiles and countertops. Lines through stone are called quartz lines. I don’t know if they’re all quartz or if it’s become a generic term for lines through stone.
