  1. I do like the shadows on the snow, and on the tree’s trunk ( what sort of tree is that?) and the barn…. well I like them all. Wonderful selection for the Friendly Friday Photo Challenge. I am so glad you joined in. The long shadows appear to catch your eye. They do make for great photographic content.

      1. Lots of Maple trees around here. Some are tapped into to harvest the sap for Maple syrup. There’s a Maple leaf on the Canadian flag.

      2. Oh. That kind of maple!! Right. Maple syrup on pancakes type maple. You would be spoilt for choice. The Japanese maple appears quite different to this form.

      3. There’s quite a few species of Maple around a lot of the Northern hemisphere. There’s a few species of Maple around this part of Ontario although the sugar Maple is probably the most common.
