I headed down to Colpoy’s Bay for the sunrise on Tuesday morning. The local weather station was reporting partly cloudy when I got up but it was almost solid cloud apart from a small section on the horizon when I arrived at the bay.
I had to walk to the end of the dock at Colpoy’s Bay to see the small section of open sky. This is the view as the sun cleared White Cloud Island before it disappeared behind the thick cloud.

Wow, the small section of open sky. Stunning!
Thanks Amy.
Well, it is just the one cloud, albeit a very big one! That’s a remarkable image. Between the sky and its reflection in the water, it gives a strong sense of weather closing in.
Thanks Graham. It’s deceiving, it stayed dry and brightened up in the afternoon.
Weather can be tricky like that.
