July Squares - Blue

Indeed! I do too on our lake in Oakland. I’ve even gotten some very interesting reflections when the lake is not calm. That reminds me that I should post some of them. 🙂

Oh that’s beautiful, David! Thank you for the suggestion. At the moment I’m saving my pennies (and dollars, obviously) for a better telephoto, a macro lens, and possibly a better camera. I currently shoot on a Nikon D5300. I’m asking several photographers whether or not they have switched to mirrorless. While I could buy an adaptor for converting regular Nikon lenses to the mirrorless mount, it would certainly be simpler to just buy a mirrorless to start with if that’s what I’ve decided to do. But…. no decision yet. Do you have an opinion on mirrorless vs not?
I just checked out your About page – my first camera in 1980 was an Olympus OM1! Finally passed it on to my daughter once the flash died. Then the shutter stopped working…… eventually it became cheaper to buy a new camera than to repair it. She was able to use it when she went to South Africa, though.
