This is my contribution to the Tuesday Photo Challenge – Hill.
There was an obvious choice for me, Bickerton Hill, Cheshire, England.
Bickerton Hill is a sandstone escarpment forming part of the Sandstone Trail and the southern end of the Mid Cheshire Ridge.
The hill has a long history with an Iron Age hill fort on top of part of it and other evidence of settlement in the Neolithic or Bronze Age periods.
Autumn colour on part of the hillside.
Snow on the Cheshire plain looking north west from the top of part of the hill.
Some autumn colour isolated with a telephoto lens from the top of the escarpment.

Excellent pics David – It looks like an interesting place.
Thanks Stuart. It was a favourite spot of mine when I lived in Cheshire.
Loving the colours of that hillside!
