Cosmic Photo Challenge: Just An Illusion

This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: Just An Illusion.

It’s a composite of two images, a large setting sun and Sandhill Cranes flying to roost at sunset. I spent quite a lot of time each autumn that I lived in Saskatchewan, Canada trying to get a shot like this on a single frame of film.

Thank you. I tried to get a balance between it looking an obvious composite while at the same time giving readers the idea of what I wanted to achieve in camera.

Hmmm… ‘the shot in my mind’ could actually be its own challenge?

That’s an interesting oe. It could be shots you pre visualized and got or shots you failed to get so reported to photoshop.
