Cee’s B & W Photo Challenge: Signs.

This is my contribution to Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Signs.

It’s 12 months since I photographed these EMPTY signs and I still find it amusing that some of my neighbours are letting our Black Bears know that there’s no garbage in the cans.

These are Bear resistant garbage cans bolted to a cement pad to stop the Bears rolling them over. And yes, I know that the signs aren’t really for the Bears. They wouldn’t be able to read the signs in the dark at night.

Naw….. unlike Yogi, he’s so allusive he’s barely seen.
On the other hand, he might be able to read with that scrounged torch, so he might, indeed, be smarter than the average bear. 😁

Black Bears aren’t always black, we had a cinnamon coloured one around last year. This year’s problem Bear is black and its plans are more successful than Yogi’s.

It must have been very close by when I went for the sunrise one morning this summer. It was breaking into the garbage shed as I was turning out of the driveway onto the road.

The one that keeps breaking into the garbage shed doesn’t need a torch. They fitted a motion detector security light so it can see what it’s doing a lot easier now.

He’s smart enough to know that if he gets chased off by humans he can simply come back later before anyone has had chance to fix the shed doors.
