This is my contribution to the Friendly Friday Photo Challenge: Alternative Version.
The prompt got me thinking about some of the photos I have taken when I gave an editor alternative versions. That made me think of one shoot in particular.
In the early 1980s I developed a process that allowed me to produce false colour photos from a monochrome original. Somehow the editor of a book on Influenza research saw some of these and commissioned me to produce one for the book cover.
This is one of the false colour versions I produced from a monochrome original.
And this is a colour shot of the Influenza virus model produced by putting coloured gels on the studio lights.
