This is my contribution to day four of Becky’s October Squares: Lines photo challenge.

Lines of ice on Lake Huron at sunset. Taken during a spring thaw, it’s the only time I have ever seen ice formations like this.

      1. More so because I had gone to that location on the shoreline because the sun would be setting behind Chantry Island and the lighthouse on the island.

      1. That’s a possibility. Early in the winter we can get frazil ice which is a type of ice that forms when the wave action stops the water freezing as a sheet of ice.
