I don’t remember. I seem to think that there was different classes for the age and type of machinery. There was horses and modern equipment also.

apparently there is . . they are marked on time, straightness, depth of furrow and I think something else. caught the tail end of a documentary on it once, fascinating!

I knew about the straightness and depth of furrows. A lot of the competitors with the older equipment had various weights on the ploughs, presumably to get the furrow depth they need.
