This is my contribution to the Tuesday Photo Challenge – Transport.
I had a couple of ideas for the challenge before thinking about two of the slides I had made digital copies of over the Christmas period. They were of old fashioned transport used to ferry goods in the past.

A hire fleet of narrowboats on a canal in Cheshire, England. These are modern narrowboats with steel hulls. Narrowboats were originally made of wood and built to carry goods such as coal on the canal network.

Thanks Jez. The shots came to mind because I spent some time over Christmas making digital copies of some of the thousands of slides I didn’t have a copy of.
Wonderful! Something about the top picture reminds me of going on a fairground ride at Cleveleys or somewhere like that as a young child called The Monte Carlo Rally. It rained for a week so that was a highlight!
Thanks Susan. I didn’t notice just how many of the restored vehicles were at least partly red until I edited the shot for the challenge. Maybe it’s the colour reminding you of the fairground ride.
