This is my contribution to Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Wheels.
Having started digitising my slide archives I am planning on digitising my black and white negatives once the slides are finished. I copied a dozen or so black and white negatives as a test and of those about half were motorsports. Which worked out rather well for Cee’s challenge.
Moto cross or scrambling as it was known as in the 1970s when the photo was taken. In those days there was a rope protecting the spectators.
Team Bike entering the start/finish straight at night. Eight hours down, sixteen to go. Taken 38 years ago today at the 1982 Le Mans 24 hour motorcycle race in France.

Your first photo is my favorite for this week. Wonderful wheel photos and riders 😀
Thanks Cee. It was interesting actually working with digital copies of black and white negatives.
