Hurray! Do I go to BBC Wildlife to claim a prize? I hope it’s chocolate 🙂
A lucky guess on my part, based on a time when I actually had good eye-sight.
The ones I did for BBC Wildlife magazine were nature subjects, clumps of hair on the body of a caterpillar for example. Your prize is knowing you correctly identified it.
I would never have guessed!
I couldn’t judge how hard it was, when you took the photo it’s hard to judge. I provided some natural history ones for BBC Wildlife magazine in the 1980s and at least one no one got.
You’re right – it’s hard to unsee
Brilliant – I would never have guessed thimble. Was going down the nature route until I saw your comment about machine made.
Thanks Becky.

Machine knurling on some kind of tool?
It’s probably done with a machine but not really.
Thimble?
Yes, well done.
