April Squares: Doing It on Top of a Rock

This is my day 14 contribution to Becky’s April Squares: Top photo challenge.

I still don’t have an internet connection. I can use the cell phone as a WiFi hotspot early in the morning until the network gets busy so I am just posting anything I had prepared before Sunday evening.

A pair of Common Terns mating on a rock on the Lake Huron shoreline in Southampton, Ontario.

I started the month with a pair of beetles mating and briefly considered going with a week of mating species before deciding it would get monotonous.

It seems a little slow but stable at the moment but I don’t really trust any fix of that type until it’s been long enough that you forget about the problem.

Actually it’s one in a sequence of twenty or more shots. It started with the female on the rock and the male flying in and ended with the two birds preening after mating.
