This is my contribution to Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Decayed or Rusty.
When I read the prompt I thought of a favourite photo that would work well for the prompt. An abandoned crofters cottage on the Isle of Skye I photographed 40 years ago.
The problem was I only had a low quality digital version, a copy of a slide that was a copy of a print from the negative. I had gone through my negative files twice without finding the original negative. So I went through the files a third time, determined to find the negative which I eventually did.
An abandoned crofters cottage in Elgol on the Isle of Skye with the Cuillin mountains across the bay behind the cottage.

Who would ever want to abandon that cottage with that view. Perfect photo for this week. 😀
Thanks Cee. A few years ago someone told me it had been renovated and was now either a rental holiday cottage or a B and B.
That would be cool.
Oh, good find!
Thanks Sue. It’s long been a favourite but I didn’t have a good digital copy until recently.
