This is my contribution to Jez Braithwaite’s Water Water Everywhere #27 Photo Challenge.
Two North American race Herring Gulls taking a shower while stood on a rock on the Lake Huron shoreline in Southampton, Ontario. I’m calling them American race Herring Gulls because different authorities class them either as a subspecies of the European Herring Gull or as a separate species.

Nice action shot of the water.
Regards. Teresa
Thanks Teresa. It must have been a particularly active wave as the other shots don’t have as much action.
I love gulls! They are very skillful in the air and they are pretty smart.
I’ve found gulls interesting since being part of a group surveying an inland winter gull roost in Cheshire, England in the 1990s. It held up to 20,000 birds on regular occasions.
Great shot, David đ
Thanks Jez. One of the rediscovered shots from digitising my slide archives.
Wow, came out brilliantly from the slide đ
I’ve found a way of copying slides with a camera that I’m happy with. It’s also many times faster than using my film scanner.
