Cosmic Photo Challenge: Midsummer

This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: Midsummer. Or midwinter if you’re in the southern hemisphere.

Thanks Dale. If I went down there for the sunrise this year I would be risking an $800 fine for standing still even if I was the only person down there.

Oh it’s packed on some of the sandy beaches but it appears that the tourists don’t have to follow the rules from what I saw when I had to go pick up a prescription on Saturday morning. Given the stupidity of some of the rules they’d probably fine my tripod for standing still.

I’ve been predicting a second wave since they decided that it was okay for people to travel to their weekend places around here. I’ve yet to see any of the weekend visitors or tourists taking precautions like the locals are.
