Perspective on a Gravel Road

This is my day 8 contribution to Becky’s July Squares on the theme of Perspective.

This is a gravel road on the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario. Photographed in the summer of 1985 little did I know that 20 odd years later I would be living in the area.

The plateau on the horizon is a section of the Niagara Escarpment.

Is the bends thing really true – I have said that to others in the past but a little bit of me wonders if it is an urban myth!

It’s true. It always amused me that they put up warning signs for gentle bends until I worked out why. If you’ve been driving straight for half an hour some people may need a warning sign.

As it was 35 years ago I did consider trying to work out where it is on a map but there are so many straight gravel roads in the area I probably wouldn’t know which one it is. It can’t be more than a 30 minute drive from here.
