Before the world turned upside down

A sunrise from 12 months ago taken at my favourite local sunrise location. A location that is currently out of bounds due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Six Word Saturday: Before the world turned upside down

Thanks Debbie. With a spike in infections in Canada I was looking back to this time last year. I can see social distancing and face masks being the way we live for some time.

Such a shame that you cannot return at the moment – feels like somewhere where it should be possible to remain safe with masks and social distancing

Given I’m often the only person down there for the sunrise it’s totally safe. But the rule is no standing still. You can walk and jog in the local parks but standing still risks an $800 fine from the rent-a-cops the local council has hired to enforce the bylaws.

It makes no sense to me. I suspect that it’s a blanket rule to cover the tourist beaches and other popular spots.

I know. I have seen people sitting fishing which should be classified as standing still so I don’t know how the new bylaws are applied.
