Gorgeous – can you though talk me through what you mean by fast portrait lens and what difference it makes
Portrait lenses are designed for shallow depth of field and some blur the edges of the frame until stopped down a little. Shooting a portrait lens wide open allows just the flower (or part of the flower) to be in focus while the background blurs.
thank you 🙂
gorgeous 😍
Thank you.
Lovely!
Thanks Sue
Chicory is such a gorgeous little flower. Nice one, David.
Thanks Sandy. They’re an attractive flower but sometimes seem to look “scruffy” even when recently opened.
Lovely blue flower, beautifully captured.
Thanks Amy. I like the flower but sometimes they can look faded and tired very quickly.
Sounds like a clever lens. Pretty shot 🙂 🙂
Thanks Jo. I have a small selection of fast portrait lenses plus some fast CCTV lenses adapted to a mirrorless camera.
