This is my contribution to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge prompt: Flowers: Blue or Purple.
I thought of two blue flowers that I find visually interesting, Borage and Chicory.

A Borage flower in a garden in Nantwich, Cheshire, England in the mid 1990s. Photographed with a 300mm telephoto lens to isolate the flower and buds from the surrounding plants.

A Chicory flower on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada last September. Photographed with a fast portrait lens to help isolate the flower from the surrounding plants.

Really pretty and I love the rich blue colors of the small flowers. Thanks for the share.
Glad you liked them.
Beautiful. Love the color đ
Thank you. I’ve always liked the colour of both plus I find them visually interesting.
Lovey shots, David. Delicate flowers and so well captured
Thanks Debbie. I suspect that it helps if you’re experimenting with different techniques as both were taken with unusual lenses.
What gorgeous blue flowers you have presented for us this week đ Thanks David.
Thanks Cee. Borage is now being grown commercially so I’d like to see a field full of blue borage flowers.
Love these small flowers, David.
Thanks Teresa. Your comment reminded me of photographing some small, blue Forget-me-not flowers last spring.
That’s good. Maybe i will see them in your future posts.
