Monochromatic Ripples

This is my contribution to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Water prompt and also my contribution to Jez Braithwaite’s Water Water Everywhere #54 Photo Challenge.

One from my slide archives I discovered while looking for abstract photos. It may not look like it’s a colour original but this is a Kodachrome slide that hasn’t been converted to monochrome.

The ripples were photographed on the River Weaver in southern Cheshire, England in the mid 1980s. The more I look at the photo the more the ripples remind me of old fashioned cobblestones.

Thanks Jez. It was one of the photos I was considering for the Lens-Artists challenge and I thought it was too nice to not use after editing.
