Monochrome Monday is traveling back to a walk around the neighborhood in late November. I took this photo of raindrops on bare branches and edited it for a blog post at the time.
I never used it as the colour balance looked odd to me. Weeks later I realised that the photo was about the reflections of the sky in the raindrops and there was no need for colour in the image.
If I had taken the photo in my film years when I was shooting black and white film alongside colour I would probably have reached for the camera loaded with black and white film. It would be nice if I could get that ability to “see” in monochrome back.
