Christmas Treats

This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: Show us your Christmas prompt.

I had a couple of ideas for the challenge before looking at the coffee table that was covered in Christmas treats.

You’re the second person to ask me in the five minutes since I published the post. My posts are automatically posted on my Facebook page and someone there asked me for some butter cookies a couple of minutes before your request. 😀

I’ve already had requests for some on here and Facebook. Someone was eyeing up the butter cookies within seconds of the post appearing on Facebook.

I like Hob Nobs but it’s very rare to find them on a shelf in a grocery store and they’re quite expensive most places. Strangely I can find McVitie’s Digestives and Milk Chocolate Digestives easily enough.

I do like plain chocolate digestives, I must admit.
Also you can get plain chocolate chip digestives in Tesco, they hand an almost perfect ratio of biscuit to chocolate.

I like the dark chocolate Digestives but the only place that has them is the local grocery store where they’re twice the price of milk chocolate Digestives from where we grocery shop.

Actually the whole store is expensive. It’s priced to gouge the tourists. Most locals drive half an hour or so to either the nearest city or large town and do a big shop. We drive to the large town and do a big grocery shop once a fortnight.

Aaah yes McVities Hob Nobs…quite rare these days in my neck of the woods. I just opened a box of McVities chocolate assortments…chocolate fingers etc.

A few grocery stores carry Hob Nobs in this part of Ontario but they’re an expensive treat. I’ve never seen chocolate Hob Nobs in Canada.
