This is my contribution to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Bridges prompt.
As the prompt is plural I decided to go with two very different bridges about 20 miles apart in Cheshire, England.

Canal lift bridge in the village of Wrenbury, Cheshire. When a canal boat comes along the bridge is raised using a winch. The bridge was designed by the Scottish civil engineer Thomas Telford in the 1790s.

The Weaver Railway Viaduct in Northwich, Cheshire. Technically this is a viaduct but the two steel sections in the center are bridges over the River Weaver and the Weaver Navigation. Also, one of the stone arches is a road bridge over London Road, Northwich. Edited to give the image a grungy, aged look.

I would love to see your first photo with the bridge lifted and a boat underneath. Am I asking for too much LOL Terrific photos. 😀
I don’t have a photo, my shots were taken in the winter when there’s very little boat traffic. But googling Wrenbury lift bridge will probably find any number.
