Vertiginous

This is my contribution to Debbie’s One Word Sunday prompt Vertiginous.

I had a couple of ideas for the prompt before remembering this photo. Taken approximately 30 years ago, I’m looking over a sandstone escarpment down on the Cheshire plain below. The slope is so steep it used to form the defensive edge of an Iron Age hill fort.

Great shot. I don’t think I could ever have taken that – just getting there would make me dizzy and standing near the edge without wobbling would not be possible.
So I’m enjoying your view whilst hanging onto my desk!

Thanks Debbie. I probably wouldn’t be able too take it these days. Since falling off a ladder I don’t like going higher than a step stool. It must have been icy up there as the puddle in the sandstone is frozen.

Yes, and it must have been icy with the puddle being frozen. I doubt I could do it nowadays. I don’t like getting on a step stool since falling off a ladder two years ago.
