April Squares: Bright Ice

It may need Canadian winter weather rather than English weather for them to form. Sometimes they last for days unless the wind blows them off the trees.

I’m not sure how they form but they’re not uncommon in winter. It’s got to be a combination of snow on the branches thawing and freezing.

I had to think again after I saw the title. I stared at the picture for a minute trying to figure it out. I don’t read fine print very well! It’s a beautiful chip of ice. I’m just glad its on your camera not mine if it’s a recent photo. 🙂
