This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: At the end of the day prompt.

I quickly ended up with a shortlist of dozens of photos. So I decided to go with the most recent and a small selection of favourites from previous decades.

The secret to the sun pillar was my big wildlife telephoto I was using to photograph the lighthouse silhouetted against the setting sun. Most of my sun pillar photos were taken with a wide angle lens as part of a scenic view.
