Medieval Buildings

This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: Buildings of the past prompt.

I decided to go to my archives for a selection of medieval buildings I have photographed in parts of England.

The Phoenix Tower, a medieval tower built on the corner of the Roman wall in the city of Chester, Cheshire.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Tower

Church of St Editha, Church Eaton, Staffordshire. The tower was converted to a spire later.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Abandoned

The ruins of Beeston Castle in southern Cheshire. Rebuilt during the English Civil War and partially demolished after it was captured.

Throwback Thursday: 7th May 2020

St Mary’s Church, Acton near Nantwich in southern Cheshire. The original tower collapsed in a storm and was shortened when it was rebuilt.
