Last Saturday morning I got up for the sunrise despite the forecast being for rain with the possibility of thunderstorms.
I was hoping for the thunderstorms as it would give me an opportunity for some shots of lightning. There was thick cloud but it wasn’t raining when I got up so I headed down to the dock at Colpoy’s Bay for the sunrise.
My intention had been to do some long exposures of the clouds streaking across the sky using the live composite feature of my Olympus camera. I quickly realised that there wasn’t going to be much, if any, colour as the sun rose so I started shooting with the intention of doing monochrome conversions of the shots.
