On the Shoreline

This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: On the Coast prompt.

I had a few ideas for the challenge before deciding to go with a small selection of photos taken on the shoreline of Colpoy’s Bay on the Bruce Peninsula this spring.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: On the Coast

Shortly before sunrise yesterday. A two minute live composite exposure to show some movement in the clouds and soften the reflections on the water.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: On the Coast

Shortly after sunrise last Thursday. I got up in the middle of the night as there was a partial solar eclipse visible as the sun came up. The eclipse wasn’t visible due to the bank of cloud on the horizon.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: On the Coast

Shortly before sunrise eight days ago. There was a thunderstorm moving across the peninsula when I got up for the sunrise. This is a six minute live composite exposure of the storm clouds moving across the bay.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: On the Coast

The bay at dawn in late May. I had gone down to the bay with my small, lightweight kit of three manual focus prime lenses to test a different telephoto option although this shot was taken with the wide angle lens in the kit.
