Postcards From Colpoy’s Bay

This is my contribution to the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Postcards prompt.

Having started selecting photos from different locations I changed my plan. I decided to concentrate on one location, Colpoy’s Bay on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario.

A small selection of photos from the past year. All taken with small, manual focus prime lenses in what I call my back to basics kit.

One Word Sunday: Whatchamacallit

The Government Dock in the village of Colpoy’s Bay at dawn in mid autumn. Taken with the Rokinon 8mm fisheye lens.

Six Word Saturday: Fishing in the Mist at Sunrise

Fishing in the mist at sunrise in late summer. Taken with the 7artisans 55mm lens.

Lens-Artists: Postcards

Storm clouds over the bay at sunrise last Saturday. I was down at the Government Dock testing the new TTArtisan 7.5mm fisheye lens.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: Reflections

Dawn on the summer solstice this year. A minimalist image taken with the TTArtisan 35mm lens.

Thanks Tom, glad you liked them. I have to wonder how many postcards are printed, sold and posted these days. I can’t remember the last time I saw a rack of postcards on display.
