Moving Across the Sky at Dawn

2021: Streaking Across the Sky at Dawn

A two minute live composite exposure of cloud moving across Colpoy’s Bay at dawn last Saturday.

This is my contribution to Debbie’s Six Word Saturday challenge.

Thanks Becky. Live composite is a setting on an Olympus camera. You set a base exposure (between half a second and 60 seconds) and the camera keeps repeating the base exposure recording moving or changing highlights. The base exposure is adjusted to expose the mid tones and shadows.

Or at least I think that’s how it works. I just starting messing with the setting a year or so ago without reading the manual on how it works or how it’s used.

Thanks Teresa. It’s been a strange year with more stormy mornings than we usually have so I’m looking for interesting cloud formations in the blue and golden hours.
