Weekly Prompts Colour Challenge: 40 Shades of Red

This is my contribution to the Weekly Prompts Colour Challenge: Forty Shades of Red.

A couple of hours after the prompt was posted I headed down to Colpoy’s Bay on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario for the sunrise.

I hadn’t given the prompt much thought until the rising sun started turning the cloud red.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I didn’t know what it was going to be like this morning with conflicting weather reports. Neither of which matched what I could see on my way down to the bay. In the end I changed the location I was going to.

Thanks Sue. It wasn’t that early yesterday morning with sunrise after 8 o’clock. Our clocks went back last night. So I was up in the middle of the night and went down to the local dock to photograph the stars over the bay.

Ours went back last week and I’m only just getting used to it sleepwise. I’m always awake early but this week the 5:30 AM wakeup was a bit too much.

Bell Canada, a national phone company, messed up last weekend and changed some customers mobile phones a week early only to change them back on Monday.

That must have confused a lot of people!

The computers at Sky TV messed up too. The clock on the screen didn’t change until Thursday! (I’m assuming it is computerised)
It was all very strange because even though the clock gave British summertime, the program menu gave a start time of an hour later – a 7:30 program now said it was starting at 8:30 so none of it made sense!

Some people were arriving for appointments an hour early. To be honest, nothing surprises me as far as Bell Canada are concerned. My suggestion that all Bell Canada phone packages should all include the rental of a stick to hit yourself with for going with Bell was very popular on Facebook.

It’s been a lot of solid cloud at sunrise and sunset. If it’s not solid cloud it’s been clear skies with no cloud for the sun to illuminate.
