Blue Hour Clouds

Travel Tuesday is traveling back to Colpoy’s Bay at dawn one year ago this week.

This is a small park in the town of Wiarton on the South Bruce Peninsula. Bylaws introduced at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic put the park out of bounds. Then a big construction project on the highway through town also means a significant detour to access the park now there is some access.

Early November through to late February is the only time of year that the sun rises far enough to the south to rise over this part of Berford Lake.

This is a 15 second exposure of clouds moving across Berford Lake at dawn.

Dock at Dawn

Travel Tuesday is visiting the Government Dock in the village of Colpoy’s Bay, Ontario at dawn.

I have never found out why it’s called the Government Dock. I’ve also known it called the public dock and the Colpoy’s Bay pier.
