Horse drawn plough

This week’s Travel Tuesday is paying a visit to the Cheshire Ploughing Match in the late 1980s.

I had gone to the event to photograph the various farming practices and equipment.

This is one of the competitors in the horse drawn category.

Peek-A-Boo

Welcome to my second Travel Tuesday.

I spent part of the summer of 1995 in Saskatchewan, Canada shooting nature and travel photos for a couple of U.K. photo agencies.

I was photographing a small group of American Goldfinches feeding on weed seeds in a ditch when I noticed this male peeking around the fence post at me. The old Saskatchewan license plate someone had nailed to the fence post to stop it splitting further made it both a travel and a nature photo.

Inglis Falls, Ontario

Welcome to my first Travel Tuesday, a new weekly feature featuring photos from some of my travels.

In 1985 I spent part of the summer living in southern Ontario shooting stock photography for two photo agencies, one a general stock agency and one a specialist natural history agency.

This is the Inglis Falls, one of three waterfalls close to the city of Owen Sound. The Sydenham River is flowing over a section of the Niagara Escarpment.
