Cloudless at Dawn

Travel Tuesday this week is traveling back just over three years to Colpoy’s Bay at dawn in late autumn.

The water level in the bay has risen since this photo was taken and the old wood piles are now less visible.

Haymoor Green Rd

Travel Tuesday is traveling back to southern Cheshire in the mid 1980s.

If I saw a red post box in nice light I would stop and take a few photos for one of the photo agencies I was contracted to. Red post boxes are regarded as a British cultural icon and as a result book and magazine editors are frequently looking for photos of them.

This is the post box on the junction of Wybunbury Lane and Haymoor Green Road near Nantwich in southern Cheshire, England.

The Last Sunrise of Autumn

Travel Tuesday this week is visiting the Colpoy’s Bay shoreline at sunrise two years and two days ago.

Having written a post about the first dawn of winter for my One Word Sunday contribution two days ago I thought it would be appropriate to go back one more year to dawn on the last day of autumn.

Sun Pillar over the Escarpment

Travel Tuesday is traveling back two years to early December 2018 with a visit to the Colpoy’s Bay shoreline at sunrise.

Originally this blog was to document the 52 week photo project I did in 2018. This is one of the overlooked photos from week 49 of the project.

Pastel Colours at Dawn

Travel Tuesday is traveling back three years to December 2017.

This is Colpoy’s Bay looking south towards the town of Wiarton on the South Bruce Peninsula.

The row of old wood piles sticking out of the water are now mostly underwater as the water level in the bay has risen considerably in the three years since this photo was taken.

Heading to Roost

Travel Tuesday is visiting the Lake Huron shoreline in Southampton at sunset in the autumn.

A loose V of Canada Geese flys overhead with Chantry Island on the horizon. Soon the geese will be traveling south for the winter.
