Colpoy’s Bay, Ontario at sunrise in early April. Most of the winter ice has melted.
It’s July the 1st. Canada Day and the celebration of 150 years of confederation. Looking across Colpoy’s Bay at the Wiarton Canada Day fireworks.
Mid December and ice is forming on Colpoy’s Bay while the mouth of the bay is obscured by falling snow.
Hoarfrost on Privet leaves.
A monochrome shot from the 1980s when you had to decide which camera to grab, the one loaded with Kodachrome or the one loaded with Ilford FP4.
The low angle of the late afternoon sun makes me think of sugar the way it’s picked out the texture of the snow.
Between film and digital I have photographed hundreds of species of birds but there’s something about the European Robin. Confiding and sometimes so tame you have to be careful not to step on them, some are real characters.

I picked this shot for week 4 because we haven’t seen much sun or blue sky since I started this 52 week photo project. It was nice seeing the sun shining on a Paper Birch standing out against a blue sky.
