This is my contribution to Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Doors and Drawers.
This is part of a ward in a former small pox hospital. I documented the buildings before they were demolished and the site cleared to make way for new medical research establishments.
After doing the monochrome conversion I added some film grain, a vignette and some blurring to the corners before adding a film type border to make the shot look as old as the building.
This is my contribution to the Tuesday Photo Challenge – Coast.
Three different looks at coast’s over 25 years.
Isle of Skye Coast. An abandoned crofters cottage at Elgol on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
North Wales Coast. Oystercatchers on a section of the North Wales coast at Point of Air, Flintshire.
Ontario, Canada Coast. A section of the Lake Huron shoreline in Southampton. Chantry Island is on the horizon and a long way behind the island is Michigan in the U.S.
This is my contribution to the A Photo a Week Challenge: Signs.
There used to be a giant Foodland sign on the front of this abandoned grocery store along with a variety of signs in the windows and on the walls.
Now there are Private Property, No Trespassing signs on the building and utility pole. They were put up because some local kids were using the empty parking lot to skateboard on.
This is my contribution to Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Indoor Walkways, Hallways, Elevators.
This is a hallway, or maybe it’s an indoor walkway. It’s part of a former small pox hospital that I documented before the buildings were demolished. I seem to recall that there were walkways connecting some of the wards but I’m not sure if this is one of them.
This is the abandoned grocery store in the town of Wiarton on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada.
It has been standing empty for years getting increasingly derelict. The roof was leaking badly when it was still in use as a grocery store so it’s probably no better inside than it looks on the outside.

One Word Sunday: Dilapidated.
This is my contribution to the Tuesday Photo Challenge: Groceries.
This is the abandoned grocery store in Wiarton on the South Bruce Peninsula. It’s been standing empty for years and the roof was leaking badly when it was still in use so the building is probably beyond repair by now.
When it was in use a lot of groceries passed through the doors, especially in the tourist season.
