Weekly Prompts: Sepia Dandelion Clock.

This is another contribution to the Weekly Prompts Photo Challenge: Sepia which is running throughout the month of August.

A sepia study of a Dandelion clock taken this summer with a 35mm CCTV lens adapted to fit a mirrorless camera.

Ivy growing up a tree trunk. With the swirling around the edges of the frame you could think that this is an old photo but it was taken this summer with a 25mm CCTV lens adapted to fit a mirrorless camera.

Monochrome Monday: 5th August 2019

Monochrome Monday travels back a couple of weeks to one of my walks testing various lenses adapted to a mirrorless camera.

This time I was testing a 25mm CCTV lens. It was the first outing with the lens when the focusing mechanism first jammed and then stopped focusing on anything beyond about five feet.

Some Bracken fronds with the lens. I rather like the way the light and dark patches in the background have made parts of the centre frond stand out.

Weekly Prompts Photo Challenge: Bloom.

This is my contribution to the Weekly Prompts Photo Challenge: Bloom.

I had a few ideas for this challenge. Recently I have been photographing a selection of blooms as part of my testing various lenses adapted to a mirrorless camera. Just recently the Orange Day-Lilies started blooming so they were added to the subjects used for testing the adapted lenses.

I then realised that it wasn’t the first time that I had photographed the Day-Lilies with adapted lenses.

Taken a couple of years ago with a 35mm Vivitar lens from the 1970s adapted to fit a DSLR.

Taken recently with the 7Artisans 35mm f/1.2 lens on a mirrorless camera.

Not really an adapted lens but?

Also taken recently with a 25mm CCTV lens adapted to fit a mirrorless camera.

Monochrome Monday: 22nd July 2019

Monochrome Monday travels back a couple of weeks to one of my walks testing lenses adapted to a mirrorless camera. In this case a 25mm f/1.4 CCTV lens.

The variegated Hosta leaves have been a regular test subject for the various adapted lenses but one variegated plant is growing next to a plant with plain leaves. The colour version didn’t really work for me so I tried a monochrome conversion and played with the contrast.
