On reading the prompt I thought of a couple of recent mornings when I got to a sunrise location early.

Travel Tuesday is visiting Berford Lake on the South Bruce Peninsula, Ontario at dawn in the autumn.
Early November through to late February is the only time of year that the sun rises far enough to the south to rise over this part of Berford Lake.
This is a 15 second exposure of clouds moving across Berford Lake at dawn.
This is my contribution to the Cosmic Photo Challenge: A Splash of Colour prompt.
I had a couple of ideas for the challenge before heading down to the dock at Colpoy’s Bay for the sunrise on Saturday morning. It was mostly cloudy and grey over the bay with small splashes of colour.
That made me think of this challenge and some other recent cloudy sunrises.
