Does Anyone Read All These Signs?

This is my contribution to Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: Store Front Signs.

On reading the prompt I thought of this dollar store in a local town. So many signs, one is standing, propped up against a store window. Presumably waiting to be hung up somewhere.

CFFC: Graffiti and Murals

This is my contribution to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Graffiti and Murals although the photo isn’t really about either.

Taken last summer I gave the photo the pretentious title of ‘A Study in Blue’ as a joke and as a tip of the hat to the Sherlock Holmes story ‘A Study in Scarlet’ which is the first of the Sherlock Holmes stories.

Rather amusingly, the photo features both a mural and graffiti. In the background there is a black fence which is a smoking area for people in the cafe next to it. Patrons were given sidewalk chalk to decorate the fence.

On the Hunt for Joy: Make Your Own Rainbow

This is my contribution to Cee’s On the Hunt for Joy Challenge: Make Your Own Rainbow.

I had a couple of ideas for the challenge, neither of which worked out.

Then I remembered photographing a section of sidewalk some bored child had coloured in with chalk. I had photographed it last summer where the local town held a weekly farmers market. I assumed that the bored child of one of the stallholders had coloured the sidewalk in.

So I decided to do some heavy editing using Photoshop and then Snapseed to get a couple of different versions of the coloured sidewalk.

On Top of Santa’s Stables

This is my day 25 contribution to Becky’s April Square Tops photo challenge.

It was supposed to be my day 24 contribution but shortly after posting day 23 I ended up in the local E.R. before being admitted to hospital. I am posting this from my hospital room.  As the various doctors seem to be playing a guessing game as to why my heart is racing and my list of symptoms is growing with the time I spend in hospital I’m not expecting to be out anytime soon.

As a result my posts will become erratic until I am discharged from the hospital.
