This is my contribution to the Tuesday Photo Challenge – Transport.
I had a couple of ideas for the challenge before thinking about two of the slides I had made digital copies of over the Christmas period. They were of old fashioned transport used to ferry goods in the past.

This week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge is Toys.
I had a few ideas for the challenge before thinking of my photos from a steam fair in Cheshire, England in the 1980s. Taken early one morning, the exhibitors were either lighting the fireboxes of their machines or were giving them a final polish. There’s four people polishing various parts of this steam roller.
Big boys and their big toys.
Throwback Thursday travels back to Cheshire, England in the 1980s. I visited the Crewe Steam Fair early on Sunday morning before there was many people about. The exhibitors with machinery were busy firing up the boilers or giving the brass work a final polish.
This traction engine has just had the firebox lit judging by the smoke coming out of the smokestack.
