Everyday Objects

This is my contribution to the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #111: Everyday Objects.

I had a couple of ideas for this challenge, one of which stood out. Then when I started picking photos for this post I changed my plan completely.

Some unusual perspectives on everyday objects taken in the last six months.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: Blue

On reading the prompt for the Cosmic Photo Challenge: Pick a Colour I immediately thought of blue. In part because when I read the prompt I was picking photos for the Friendly Friday Photo Challenge: Yellow and blue is the complimentary colour to yellow.

I suspect that another reason for thinking blue was because of the blue, yellow and red butterfly garden ornaments I walk past on some of my walks around the neighborhood and that I have been taking photos of for the past few winters.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: Pick a Colour

Blue on blue. The giant blue butterfly garden ornament against a blue sky taken on a walk around the neighborhood last week.

Cee's Fun Foto Challenge: Roofs of Any Kind

Blue rain. Or at least raindrops on the roof of a blue car.

Cosmic Photo Challenge: Pick a Colour

Blue aluminium. Knurled aluminium anodized blue on the body of a small torch (flashlight).

CFFC: Basically One Colour

January Squares: Flashlight

A bit of a cheat, as a Brit I’ve always called them torches but if you say torch to someone in North America they think of mobs with pitchforks and flaming torches.

For day nine of Becky’s January Squares: Light photo challenge I went with a flashlight.

This is a small flashlight clipped to the strap of a camera bag. I keep one clipped to the strap of each of the bags I use regularly. They’re useful for finding my way when heading out an hour or so before sunrise. Then when I get to a location in the dark I can unclip it from the bag if I need to check something in the dark.
