Snowdrop growing sequence, photo 3

My Flora and Fauna Friday post this week is number three in a sequence of photos taken weekly showing the development of a group of Snowdrops.

Photo 1 is here.

Photo 2 is here.

In this photo the group is showing more of the white flowers that give the plant its name and there are more emerging from the soil.

Snowdrop growing sequence, photo 2

Week 2 of my documentation of a clump of Snowdrops growing in a garden in Hatherton near Nantwich in southern Cheshire, England.

A week after the first photo was taken and the Snowdrops are starting to show the beginnings of the white flowers that give the plant its name.

Snowdrop growing sequence, photo 1

Something a little different for my Flora and Fauna Friday post over the next four weeks.

Each Friday I will be posting the next photo in a sequence showing the growth of a clumps of Snowdrops in a garden in Hatherton near Nantwich in southern Cheshire, England.

Originally photographed over a 4 week period in the mid 1980s for one of the natural history photo agencies I was contracted to.

In the first photo a few of the Snowdrops are just emerging from the soil.
