Month of Squares

Bright Crayons

This is my day 5 contribution to Becky’s April Squares on the theme of Bright.

The tips of some bright wax crayons photographed with a cheap 35mm CCTV lens adapted to a mirrorless camera.

Natural Patterns on the Bay

This is my contribution to Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Patterns in Nature prompt.

I had a few ideas for the challenge before thinking of some of the ripples on Colpoy’s Bay I had photographed in the six months the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions were lifted a little.

Throwback Thursday

Patterns and Texture in the Ice

Throwback Thursday travels back to Saskatchewan in the late 1990s and a frozen section of marsh at sunset.

The strange circular patterns and the texture on the surface of the ice caught my eye. What almost looks like film grain is the texture of the ice surface.

Weekly Prompts

Weekly Prompts: White

This is my contribution to the Weekly Prompts: White challenge.

Being as it’s winter in Ontario, Canada it was almost ìnevitable that my contribution would involve snow. I did actually try to come up with an alternative to snow but didn’t think of anything I was really happy with.

All the photos were taken in the last month. One was taken an hour or so before posting.

Wind formed patterns in the snow.
