A Photo a Week Challenge: Squirrel!

This is my contribution to the A Photo a Week Challenge: Squirrel!

I have quite a few photos of Squirrel species, most in natural settings and doing something, usually feeding.

Then I remembered this photo taken a few weeks ago when the birds weren’t cooperating. This is an American Red Squirrel on the fence around the deck getting upset with me for sitting in the yard.

An interesting photo for me because it was the first time I had used my decades old Olympus OM Zuiko 350mm lens adapted to my Sony mirrorless camera.

Having quite a few photos to pick from I decided to go with two favourites, one from Saskatchewan, Canada and one from Ontario, Canada, both featuring ice.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Anything

This is my contribution to the A Photo a Week Challenge: Anything where the prompt is left open.

I have resumed testing various lenses adapted to mirrorless cameras, partly because it gave me some variation in my walks around the neighborhood during the Covid-19 shutdown in Ontario.

One of those lenses was my single coated, silvernose OM Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 lens from 1976.

Trees in snow, Hatherton, Cheshire, England.

One of my earliest photos with the lens when it was attached to my Olympus OM1 in the mid 1970s.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Anything

40+ years later the lens is attached to a Sony mirrorless camera on one of my walks around the neighborhood.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Light and Dark

This is my contribution to the A Photo a Week Challenge: Light and Dark.

The prompt got me thinking about some of the nighttime photos from my film archives that I started digitising last winter.
