One Image/One Story

This week Ann-Christine has given us the prompt One Image/One Story for the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge.

After some thought I drew up a shortlist of around ten images/situations. I then whittled the list down to four.

Tuesday Photo Challeng - Number

15 hours down, 9 to go. A dawn pit stop on Sunday morning for Team Bike during the 1982 Le Mans 24 hour motorcycle endurance race in France.

Is this the new universal litter? Has the disposable facemask replaced the plastic water bottle as the universal piece of litter? Photographed recently on the Colpoy’s Bay shoreline.

A Photo a Week Challenge: Summer Vacation 2020

Peeping at the photographer. A summer plumage male American Goldfinch peeps around a fence post near Punnichy, Saskatchewan, Canada. The old license plate is being used to stop the fence post splitting further.

On the Hunt for Joy: Put Your Collections on Display

45 years using Olympus cameras. A selection of the Olympus cameras I have owned and used over the years. Having got interested in photography in the mid 1970s I purchased my first Olympus camera in 1976. Taken with a Sony mirrorless camera after I became unhappy with the direction Olympus were taking with their camera design.

Follow Your Bliss

This is my contribution to the Lens-Artists Photo Challenge: Follow Your Bliss prompt.

I had a couple of ideas for the prompt but I wasn’t happy with either and was going to skip this challenge.

Then I thought about my “Back to Basics” project and decided to make the post about that.

A few years ago I got tired of the auto everything aspect of modern digital equipment. As a result I put together a small kit of manual focus prime lenses and started shooting digital the same way I used to shoot film for years. Getting back to the basics of photography.

Recently I discovered TTArtisan lenses. Tiny manual focus lenses designed for small mirrorless cameras. So I put together a compact, lightweight kit based around them.

Some Autumn Maple Leaves

This is my contribution to Dale’s Cosmic Photo Challenge: Let’s hear it for the leaves prompt.

Most of the leaves in this part of Ontario have been off the trees for a while now. However, a few weeks ago I started picking up interesting leaves with the intention of doing some table top studio photos using them. The fallen leaves have been buried under snow a few times since I started collecting them.
