Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge this week is Rainbow Colors.
The Challenge specifies that the photo must have four colors. Having a selection to pick from I decided to take the challenge literally and use a photo of a rainbow.
This is a section of a rainbow taken with a long telephoto while I sat in a bird hide (blind) photographing a winter gull roost.
The Traveling At Wits End Weekly Photo Challenge is Under Cloudy Skies.
As seems to be the case for a lot of recent challenges I came up with an idea before changing my mind and finally going with my third or fourth idea.
In the end I decided to go with the occasional consequence of cloudy skies, a rainbow. All I had to do then was decide which rainbow photo.
In the end I went with this double rainbow over a barn on the South Bruce Peninsula. The old barn is a local favourite and I got lucky when the very heavy rain eased off allowing me to line the brighter rainbow up with the barn.
This week’s Cosmic Photo Challenge is Living in Your Best Light.
Coming home through a thunderstorm one afternoon last autumn there was a double rainbow and some nice light on the fields of the side road we live on. I drove down the road in heavy rain hoping it would ease off enough to get some shots of the rainbows. It eased off enough for me to stop the car and grab some shots at the barn. I dried the camera off with a towel when I got home.
So some nice light where we live.
